Dr.
Stone's Liver Flush
Dr. Randolph Stone was the founder of Polarity Therapy.
After living in India for several years, and being exposed
to a lot of food fried in oil, that of course can affect
the liver adversely, he developed this simple liver flush.
Basically, you will make a drink, followed by 2 cups of hot
tea. The hot tea is an important part of the liverflush. By
using cold-pressed oil in the liver flush drink along with
the other mix of ingredients, the hot tea that you drink
immediately afterwards pushes the oil through the liver,
and cleans it.
If you start the tea simmering before you prepare the
drink, it will be ready by the time you've finished the
drink.
Best to do the liverflush in the morning before eating any
food.
Tea:
1
tsp. each of:
flax seeds
fenugreek seeds
fennel seeds
Bring to a boil and simmer in 2 1/2 - 3 cups of water for
about 10-12 minutes.
Add 1 tsp. of violet leaves once you turn off the stove,
and let stand for a minute or two.
Drink:
1-3 cloves fresh garlic
1/2 fresh juice of lemon
1-3 TBS. organic, COLD-PRESSED olive oil or almond oil.
ESSENTIAL TO USE COLD-PRESSED!!
a dash of cayenne
Fresh squeezed juice of 2-3 oranges, or if you have a food
juicer and can make fresh apple juice, use 1-2 apples if
desired.
Only
fresh squeezed juice should be used!
Blend completely the above ingredients for the drink (in a
Vitamix if you have one, otherwise use a blender).
Drink the drink, and as soon as you have finished it,
follow immediately with 2 cups of the hot tea.
If one is hungry or feels the least bit queasy after doing
the flush, you can eat 1/2 orange or grapefruit after half
an hour. Otherwise, you'll feel pretty full for awhile.
Eating orange or grapefruit is good to follow the liver
flush, usually after an hour or so.
If one feels queasy this is an indication of toxins in the
system that are being flushed out. One can repeat this
daily for as long as desired. After the liver is cleansed
there will not be any sense of queasiness after doing the
flush.
