Essential Oils:


You can trust Young Living therapeutic grade oils, as every single batch of oils is quarantined, inspected, and tested for purity and quality. They are tested with state of the art gas chromatography and infrared analysis. Many of the plants are grown at Young Living farms, owned and operated by Gary Young, founder of Young Living Essential Oils. The plants are steam distilled using an expensive, slow, low-pressure, low temperature process that preserves the fragile complex chemistry of the essential oil.

Further, Gary Young, continues to work with medical doctors and scientists on research to corroborate scientifically the health benefits available through the use of medical grade essential oils. Gary has a farm and distillery in Ecuador and has a clinic that helps people return to a state of health. He is farming and distilling new plant oils indigenous to the area, available only through Young Living.

* Gary Young, the founder of Young Living Essential Oils, has worked hard to establish U.S. standards for essential oils quality and purity. Gary's standard exceeds AFNOR (French) standards. Perfume grade 'essential oils' typically contain many very harsh, industrial chemicals.

* There are 2,000,000 reported hospital acquired infections every year and over 100,000 people die from hospital related problems or prescription drugs. Essential oils have been studied and proven effective against the common hospital-induced, antibiotic-resistant infection, MRSA (methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus). In a study cited, 22 out of 25 cases were resolved with essential oils. In vitro studies showed these oils to be effective: cinnamon, geranium, peppermint, orange, grapefruit, patchouli, lavender, lemongrass, thyme, spearmint, lemon myrtle, clove, mountain savory, eucalyptus radiata.

* Gary Young said that it is now thought that the three oils brought to the Christ child were frankincense, myrrh and balsam. These were the three oils distilled at Ein Gedi, the 4th century synagogue that was unearthed in Israel. Balsam was also refererred to as "gold".

* Frankincense and balsam are two of the most powerful oils. Balsam fir is effective in inhibiting all 7 breast cancer tumor cell lines, including MCF-7, the most agressive breast cancer cell.

* Frankincense supports the immune system by stimulating the anterior pituitary which produces human growth hormone which stimulates immune response.

* 'Thieves' essential oil dissolves excess mucous, attacks inflammation and dissolves and digests interstitial acids. Gary Young recommends drinking a couple of drops of Thieves in a few ounces of raw apple cider vinegar morning and night to reduce acids in the body.

* Rosemary plus myrrh is a great combination for infections.

* Studies show that lemongrass oil lowers cholesterol levels.

* Young Living is now the largest producer of melissa oil in the world. Gary Young discovered that most melissa sold is actually cut with lemon and citronella oils and therefore has a distinctive smell, which doesn't reflect the true aroma of pure melissa.

* Dr. Carolyn DeMarco volunteered her time and services to help the tsunami victims in Aceh, Indonesia, the most devastated area located right near the epicenter of the earthquake. Young Living Essential Oils were the cornerstone of her treatment for the 40-60 patients she saw each day. She found this experience to be one of great hope for the grief-stricken survivors in shock.
Dr. DeMarco used oils for the emotional trauma and many physical conditions incurred as a result of the shock and poor hygiene following the tsunami. Oregano oil was used very successfully on skin infections and people were given oil drops on cotton balls in baggies that they could take with them, for emotional support from the grief and loss. They often came back for more.
